ISRAEL – The Anonymous for Animal Rights Interview with Yossi Wolfson

I have no words to describe how unbelievably devastating war is. The madness
and indifference to suffering of people who engage in it is beyond my
understanding. And as always, innocent animals are the main victims. The
last war between Israel and Hizb-Alla is just an example. Wild animals
suffered most.

Animal activist, Yossi Wolfson, from Anonymous for Animal Rights spoke to the Abolitionist about what happened to the animals during the recent war between Israel and Lebanon, on vivisection, zoos, veganism and basically all things animal orientated in Israel.

BURNING RAGE OF A DYING PLANET: The ELF Interview

From its inception in 1997 to September 2001, 33 year old Craig Rosebraugh was a spokesperson for the Earth Liberation Front(ELF) and the Animal Liberation Front (ALF). In 2003, Rosebraugh co-formed Arissa as a non-profit organisation, to build a revolutionary movement in the United States (see www.arissa.org).  He also runs his own organic, vegan restaurant called Calendula situated in America's most radical and steak-hostile city, Portland, Oregon. He is an accomplished vegan cook. He disdains a prevalent view that, as he expresses it, “if you're for world change, you have to live in sloppy squalor.” He sees elegance, in fact, as consistent with ELF's sabotage – as a matter of “pride and dignity and caring.”

CAGED BIRD LIBERATION - THE CAPTIVE SOUL: 
An Interview with Lynette MacQueen

The caged bird industry, promoted by pet shops and backyard breeders, is an enormously cruel industry.  All birds have evolved to fly.  In captivity they can, at best, flutter from one perch to the next.  In small cages they can't even do that.  Just think: birds in the wild spend time foraging for food - in a cage they have absolutely nothing to do.  Caged birds develop neurotic behaviour as a result of frustration and boredom.  They start to self-peck or mutilate themselves by pulling out their feathers and pecking holes in their stomach leading to death.  They may also rock and sway from side to side, bob up and down, screech frequently and become aggressive.  It goes without saying that there is a great need to expose this subject and get it out in the open.  Lynette MacQueen, former director of Animal Liberation NSW speaks to Abolitionist-Online.
