Product Line Rawhide's by Jelly's, Inc. sell only raw vegan products. Both company owners are vegan; Rawsheed for 12 years and Jay for 5 years. All of the permanent employees are vegan. The company has been in business for 6 years but has been restructured and is in new form for the past 6 months.
They offer these prepared raw products: Raw Sicilian House Pizza, Raw Cheese Un Chicken, Raw BBQ Un Sausage, Raw Cheese Un Burger, Raw Lasagna, Raw Seaweed Salad, Raw Turnip Fries, Raw Sweet Dreams High, Raw Chocolate Banana Love, Raw Lemon Passion Cake, Raw Pasta Sauce, Raw Lemon Herb Dressing, Raw Sun Dried Tomato Dressing, and Raw Yellow Curry Dressing, all sold retail and at events. The company offers catering as well. They also sell non-refrigerated raw/vegan items and will be increasing their line.
“Rawsheed started and founded the company in the spring of 2000 and I joined him as his partner 6 months ago. Rawsheed learned to be vegan and then moved to vegan raw from one of his spiritual teachers about 12 years ago and never looked back. I was taught to be vegan by the animals at The Gentle Barn, just over 5 years ago (my other venture with my fiancé, Ellie). Ellie and I run The Gentle Barn together now. It just seemed like a great match to run a company that sells raw vegan food, the very thing we teach at The Gentle Barn,” says Jay L. Weiner.
Jay adds, “We are in the process of growing from 20 markets to over 200 before the year end. It is an exciting time for our companies (Jellie's, Inc. - my company, that acts as the distributor for Rawsheeds company Rawsheed's) but we are partners.”
