Walk Higher is a vegan owned and operated company since 2005, that sells only vegan products; hand-poured soy/botanical candles with no artificial coloring or preservatives, as well as cruelty-free. “The Walk Higher company was started as a vision of helping those who advocate for animals in distress, thus hoping to become a small link in a chain of human compassion. We were inspired to start our company after becoming more educated on the subject of animal cruelty, specifically, after viewing a copy of Peaceable Kingdom produced by Tribe of Heart.” says Jeanie Liber, the CEO of Walk Higher, LLC. “I became vegan on the same day, after viewing the movie.” A portion of the company's proceeds will go to organisations that are working to prevent cruelty to animals. “We are hoping to create a pro-active environment in the lighting of each candle. We chose a bio- based vegan soy candle as a symbol to light a path, to illuminate the issue of animals suffering globally” to quote Jeanie Liber.

Just One Moon Co. has been in business for a year and a half and is the mother company of two different web sites: www.FairCoffee.com and www.Ecowindchimes.com Located in Dallas Texas, the products they sell happen to be vegan. However, they sell products in which care has been taken in production to protect the environment and the community. Such as their organic fair trade coffee, and the wind chimes are made with the environment in mind (95% of the waste is recycled and biodegradable soap is used for cutting) Company owner, Stephen Betzen, is vegan at home and work. He further explains, “When people make valid attempts to cater to my diet, I usually will eat what they offer (will not touch flesh of any kind though) as I do not want them to be bitter about this kind of choice. As a result I know of many of my friends and people at my church have cut the meat in their diet and one family is in transition to a vegetarian diet. I have been vegetarian for 5 years and vegan for 1. My wife Rachel Betzen helps me part of the time and she is vegan. She has been vegetarian for 7 years and vegan for 1.”

The Bagg Lady produce Ultrasuede and Ultraleather purses that are ergonomically designed. These are man-made fabrics and we do state in our literature that our products are "cruelty free". When asking the company owner, Mindy Oberne, if she is a vegan, she says,”I confess I'm not, though I have considered it and may some day. I am an animal lover and do support our local "no kill" shelter.” Mindy's business has been around for 22 years. Her wallet/purse is designed with a built-in wallet for space efficiency, organisation and convenience. May be worn as a shoulder bag or bum bag. Two sizes, over 10 colors. “I'm not a vegan, but I do like the idea of using non animal materials--it's totally logical as these upholstery weight fabrics are as tough as leather, but are a fraction of the weight and can be machine washed and dried” explains Mindy.
