Prescription 2000, Inc. only sells completely vegan dietary supplements: MultiVitamin/Mineral, Bone Support Formula (calcium, magnesium, vitamin D, vitamin K), Glucosamine HCL in capsules or powder. The owner is Kirk Hamilton, a practicing physician's assistant in integrative medicine, who is a 95% vegan (on rare occasions he has some cheese and egg products). He has been mostly vegan for 2-3 years and lacto-ovo for 10 plus years. The company began in year 2000. Mr. Hamilton started the company to make products to be sold in health clubs, but would only make animal-free products since he had a hard time finding high potency animal-free dietary supplements. The main reason he became a vegan was to reduce the suffering of animals, especially with modern factory animal farming. "All products are completely animal free "no animal product was used as a starting material or in the processing of these dietary supplements" Kirk assures us. Kirk Hamilton has been a practicing physicians assistant for more than 20 years. Mr. Hamilton formerly owned Clinical Pearls Publications, Inc.,. a company which produced newsletters, CD ROMs and books on peer review nutrition research for health professionals.
